Fort Hood Rv Park - From I-35, take US-190 west to loop 121 (less than a mile) north and go through the stop sign to the traffic light where there is a large school on the northwest side. At this light turn left (west) onto Sparta Street and follow this road for 5 miles, you will pass the cow guard into FT Hood. Continue straight for another 2 miles, then turn right onto Cottage Road at the Lake Belton Recreation Area sign.
My family camped here for Memorial Day weekend. We ended up near the entrance with a full hitch for our trailer. It's a good place, it didn't matter what area we were in. The housing is good, but the bathrooms need to be renovated. This is a family place and one place. Other campers are very polite.

This campground was great. We camped by the lake in section 3 and had the whole lot to ourselves. The lake was good for canoeing and had a beautiful view of the sunset.
